Mandala Seconds in Blues

Mandala Seconds in Blues

Mega Mandala in Blues (My second try at a Mandala bead ☺ )

A mandala is a spiritual symbol in Buddhism and Hinduism. ... Literally mandala means “circle.” The circle is seen as a magical form, without beginning and end, just as the universe is believed to have no end. Traditionally, Mandalas are made from colored sand (which is quite fitting since glass is made of silica/sand). It can take weeks for a team of monks to create one, depending on the size. Once finished and all of their ceremonies are done, it is destroyed. Because the underlying message of the mandala ceremony is that nothing is permanent.
Thankfully, this isn't really that kind of Mandala! These can be used as a scarf slide, slip it on a dread lock, or simply hang it from a silk or leather cord and enjoy it as a pendant. The design is different on both sides making it two beads in one. It can also be used as an aid to meditation, Blues and Iolite shades with cream and periwinkle
